History :

GENIMAR and TECIMAR were both born in 1965, GENIMAR as an engineering office in Paris and TECIMAR as a shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, wide harbour located on the Atlantic coast of France.

The aim of Dr Michel Ebersolt (MS/MIT), who created and managed the two companies, was to promote fiber glass boat construction, and lead research and development in the naval field
- including applied sciences, composite materials, hydrodynamics, ship propulsion and aerodynamics.
Many towing tank and hydrodynamics tunnel tests as much as full scale trials have been carried out during these years.

The shipyard TECIMAR has ceased activity in 1979, while GENIMAR is still running in Sophia Antipolis.
